Here's a satellite image of the weather in terms of water vapor. It's a large image and takes some tme to load. Local Vancouver Island weather generally arrives from the west, i.e., Hawaii to Singapore in a couple of days. Some locals refer to this as the "pineapple express." Winter steelhead fishing on Vancouver Island is directly affected by weather. River conditions change quickly with warm wet weather and many local fishermen like to fish the front and back end of the change.
